uncertain.] (Zoöl.) A West Indian lizard
(Celestus occiduus), about a foot long, imagined by the
natives to be venomous.

A round gall produced on the leaves and shoots of various
species of the oak tree. See Gall, and
Nutgall.

measure.] A measure of capacity, containing four quarts; --

measure.
